Tato „variace na Solperovské téma“ vznikla po aktualisaci Areplosu jako pokus o robustnější monolineární protějšek. Římská kapitála tvoří kostru všech, dokonce i úpadkových písem, která máme rádi. Cílem tohoto experimentu byla hravost opřená o klasiku. Výsledkem je množství alternativních znaků v bohaté škále řezů pro široké použití ve visuálních systémech. Sedmdesátá léta byla dobou bouřlivého vývoje popové hudby, ale i životního stylu, architektury a designu. V typografii vznikaly odvážné projekty předjímající digitální éru, přestože grafici si museli na první počítače ještě hezky dlouho počkat. Digitální byly už hodinky, zatímco syntezátory ještě krásně analogové. Zatímco se létalo na měsíc, vrcholem technologie grafiky byla fotosazba, film a vývojka. Tvůrci písem přesto koncipovali písmové rodiny od vlasových po ultratučné řezy a tím naznačili budoucí vývoj. Děkuji Janu Solperovi za inspiraci a cenné rady během práce na tomto písmu. This “variation on the Solperian theme” was created after the Areplos update as an attempt at a more robust monolinear counterpart. Roman capitals form the skeleton of all, even the decadent fonts we love. The goal of this experiment was playfulness based on the classics. The result is a number of alternative characters in a rich variety of cuts for wide use in visual systems. The 1970s was a time of turbulent development in pop music, but also in lifestyle, architecture and design. Bold projects anticipating the digital era were created in typography, even though graphic designers had to wait a long time for the first computers. Watches were just digital, while synthesizers were still beautifully analogue. While flying to the moon, the pinnacle of graphics technology was photocomposition, film and liquid developer. Nevertheless, the designers conceived font families from hairline to ultra-bold cuts and thus hinted at future developments.
